Majestic Flight of the Condor & Choquequirao Trek
Chonta / Flight of the Condor / Choquequirao Tour
One of the most important hikes in the Cusco region is to the CHOQUEQUIRAO sanctuary (which means “cradle of gold”). Without a doubt, this place is currently very preferred by visitors from all over the world and by people who want to discover new adventures in the land of the Incas. This Inca city was discovered in the 18th century by a French explorer, and was also visited by Hiram Bingham before his discovery of Machu Picchu.
The Flight of the Condor plus Choquequirao tour is a new alternative for current visitors, where you can see the majestic flight of the Andean condor in its natural habitat in Chonta on the first day and then continue the trek to the Choquequirao Sanctuary, which has a similarity to Machu Picchu due to its geographical location and the type of architecture all built in stone, with the difference that to get to Choquequirao you have to walk.
This tour is undoubtedly a challenging but incredible experience to go on an excursion to the habitat of the Andean condor in the depths of the Apurímac Canyon. chonta and then to the archaeological site of Choquequirao, which is located on a mountain within the cloud forest. Our travel agency ORELLANA EXPEDITIONS is the direct tour operator of this trip to the Flight of the Condor chonta plus Choquequirao.
