Chonta Flight of the Condors with Zipline and Tibetan Bridge
Majestic flight of the Andean Condor plus Adventure
The Andean Condor (Vultur gryphus) is an emblematic species of Peru and South America, and is considered the largest bird in the world that can fly over 8,000 meters above sea level. For the Inca culture, the Andean Condor was sacred, and they worshipped it and made sacrifices to give it as an offering. In the Cusco region, there is an Andean community called Chonta, where you can see the Andean Condor in its natural habitat. Today, the Andean Condor is in danger of extinction. Chonta is a safe place to see the condors in their natural habitat, free from the danger of men who want to hunt them. Condors have lived here for a long time, and it is where more than 10 pairs of condors sleep and nest. Today, the condors are protected by the Peruvian state, and especially by the people of Chonta.
Today, the community of Chonta is known nationally and internationally for its condors and receives visitors of all levels, who admire the majestic flight of the Andean condor in its natural and wild state. This community also offers visitors the warmth of an Andean home with its gastronomy and local crafts, made by the inhabitants who work well organized to provide a quality service to their visitors.
