DETAILED ITINERARY OF THE MOUNTAIN OF COLORS TOUR:

Full Day Tour: Cusco – Cusipata – Punta Carretera – Mountain of the 7 Colors 5000 masl – Vinicunca

At 5:00 in the morning we will pick up your hotel in our vehicle and begin our trip towards the town of Cusipata where we will enjoy a good breakfast. Then we will continue our trip in our vehicle to the sector known as Papa Carretera located at 4450 masl, here we prepare for our adventure in the Andes of Cusco, we will begin to walk towards the mountain of the 7 colors and in the distance we will have the view of the Apu Ausangate which is a sacred mountain of the Andean man.

This hike to the top of the mountain of the seven colors lasts an average of 1 hour and you walk approximately 3 km from a height of 4450 meters above sea level to 5100 meters above sea level. The ascent will be gradual and with spectacular views of a unique landscape, mountains, lagoons and canyons that make you enjoy your hike to the Colorado mountain. Also along this hike we will be able to appreciate different types of South American camelids such as llamas, alpacas, vicuñas etc., and some typical shepherds’ houses built with stone and straw.

After 1 hour of walking we will arrive at the mountain of the 7 colors where we will enjoy a spectacular and magical view of a mountain that is formed naturally, here our guide will explain to us about the mountain of the 7 colors and its Apu Ausangate where the beauty and emotion of the Mountain of Colors – Vinicunca stands out.

After that we will return by the same route to Panpa highway where our vehicle will be waiting for us and we will rest then we will continue the trip by car to our restaurant where we will enjoy our delicious lunch and then we will take our car back to the city of Cusco.

Arrival time to the city of Cusco is approximately 6:00 p.m.
